Changes in the SRA-Europe Executive Committee, June 2012

After 8 years of excellent service on the SRA-Europe committee Julie Barnett is stepping down. Julie has been our secretary for many years. We’d like to express our sincere thanks to her for all her work helping SRA-Europe run smoothly. We wish Julie all the very best in her new Professorship in Health Research at Brunel University, UK.

We are pleased to introduce two new members of the committee, Seda Kundak and Pia-Johanna Schweizer.

Seda is Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Architecture, Urban and Regional Planning at Istanbul Technical University. She has a particular interest in Natural Hazards (including earthquakes) and Disaster Management and Mitigation. We are especially pleased to have Seda join us as we prepare the 2014 SRA-Europe meeting in Istanbul.

Pia-Johanna has a PhD in Risk Governance and the Sociology of Risk and currently works at the Interdisciplinary Research Unit of Risk Governance and Sustainable Technology Development at the University of Stuttgart. Her experience lies in the fields of risk regulation and participatory decision making.
